Our founder, the late Dr. C.T. Vivian, was a key member of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Executive Staff. He went on to advise five U.S. Presidential administrations (Johnson, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, and Obama) on civil rights issues. Dr. Vivian addressed the United Nations and the World Baptist Alliance (alongside President Jimmy Carter), and he was so highly regarded that he became the first person ever invited for two full consecutive days on The Oprah Winfrey Show. His visionary leadership and lifelong commitment to equality form the bedrock of our company’s values and approach.
