Cultural Assessment is the foundational starting point for any effective cross-cultural leadership initiative. We begin by getting a clear picture of your organization’s current culture and dynamics. Our Cultural Assessment process typically includes:

1.   1-on-1 Executive Interviews
  1. We speak directly with your leaders to understand their perspectives on organizational culture and cross-cultural challenges. These confidential interviews help us grasp leadership’s vision, perceived obstacles, and areas of opportunity. This helps us get past the unanticipated problems that derail over 60% of change efforts.
2.  Focus Groups

Research shows that small group settings (where there is comfort and safety) are more prone to provide candid, frank and open dialogue. Focus groups provide this kind of atmosphere, and because they are interactive, they provide much more insight than questionnaires.We conduct a series of demographically segmented focus groups designed to fully grasp the thoughts and feelings of your employees as it relates to cross-cultural leadership and interactions.

3.  Organizational Assessment Analysis and Report
BASIC Diversity will analyze all of the data gathered from items 1 and 2 above, and prepare a report that lays out your strengths to build on, obstacles to overcome, key issues to address, and recommended next steps to achieve your desired diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes.
Once data collection is complete, we analyze all the information from the steps above. You will receive a comprehensive report highlighting your organization’s strengths to build on, obstacles to overcome, and targeted recommendations to enhance your cross-cultural leadership capacity. This assessment and report become the roadmap for your tailored strategy going forward.
