The Vivian Consulting Group was founded by Dr. C.T. Vivian, a member of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s executive staff and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. For over 50 years, we have helped America’s most respected organizations — from Bank of America and Coca-Cola to the United States Army and The World Bank — master the leadership challenge that defines American organizational life: leading effectively across difference. Led today by Al Vivian (Dr. Vivian’s son), a former U.S. Army Captain, our work begins with a foundational belief — that the United States is the world’s most complex cross-cultural environment, and that every American leader operates within it whether they recognize it or not. Cross-cultural leadership is not an ideology. It is not a political position. It is a practical, proven, and essential leadership discipline — one that helps organizations turn America’s extraordinary differences of background, generation, experience, and perspective into competitive advantage.
